ISLINGTON ARTS AND MEDIA SCHOOL
THE SHAPE OF RELIGION PROJECT
2007
We were asked to explore the different ways in which religion could be represented in space, and one of the projects that I proposed was to create primary spaces that refered to the origins architecture and ritual spaces of using cardboard boxes. Later we brought the students to visit the Rachel Whiteread monumental installation at Tate Modern's Turbine Hall that was made of cast boxes. The students were confronted to a projection related to their work that pushed their boundaries in terms of what they could achieve.
