Transformers, electric light, wood, dimensions variable.
The transformers are connected in circuit, converting the electricity from 110v to 220 v and from 220 v to 110v alternatively, there is a light bulb connected at the end of the transformers circuit and another lightbulb is connected directly to the outlet. There is a slight difference in the intensity of the light from both lightbulbs. The piece reflects on issues of communication, translation, and usage of resources. This piece was presented at the V Biennial S Files at El Museo del Barrio, NY.
